YTTEK will Introduce a High-Speed and Customizable Satellite Modem Y.FORCE S at Satellite 2024

YTTEK will debut our high-speed satellite modem, Y.FORCE S, at the Satellite 2024 conference and exhibition. This event serves as a critical connection point within the global satellite industry, and the unveiling of our new product at this event marks a significant accomplishment for YTTEK, showcasing our technological expertise and prowess in satellite communication.  

 

YTTEK’s Y.FORCE S is a SDR-based satellite signal analysis and reception equipment with recorder and real-time analysis capabilities for the ground station. It offers robust error correction algorithms to ensure data integrity and reliability, even in challenging transmission conditions. Applications range from satellite communication and space exploration to geographical information systems. Tolerating and Correcting High Sampling Clock Errors 

Y.FORCE S possesses the capability to tolerate and correct high sampling clock errors. This feature allows Y.FORCE S to detect and adjust the frequency of the sampling clock, ensuring precise signal sampling.  

 

Dynamic Frequency Tracking 

Y.FORCE S excels at tracking real-time dynamic frequency offsets over a wide range, particularly useful during satellite movement. This allows Y.FORCE S to continuously monitor and adjust to fluctuations in signal frequency, ensuring seamless and accurate communication even in dynamic satellite environments. 

 

Extensive and Precise Frequency Error Estimation and Compensation 

When handling satellite communication, which typically involves significant central frequency errors, Y.FORCE S’s capability to perform extensive and precise estimation and compensation of these errors ensures the maintenance of a stable communication link amidst various frequency fluctuations and interferences. This proficiency ensures the accuracy and reliability of data transmission between Y.FORCE S and satellites. 

 

Attenuation Compensation 

Due to the beamforming and rapid mobility characteristics of satellite communication, Y.FORCE S incorporates attenuation compensation technology to ensure signal stability. By accurately calculating attenuation and gain, it guarantees the efficient operation of satellite communication. 

 

Software Upgradability & Customizability 

Benefiting from Y.FORCE S’s hardware implementation using FPGA and its software deployed on servers, along with RF capabilities featuring wide bandwidth and extensive frequency range settings, future software upgrades and even replacement with custom communication specifications can be easily facilitated. 

 

Wide Frequency Range and Bandwidth  

 Y.FORCE S boasts a wide frequency range from 10MHz to 9GH (covering the X-Band), ensuring seamless compatibility with diverse satellite communication systems and frequencies. Equipped with two transmit and two receive RF paths, each supporting a bandwidth of 500MHz, the Y.FORCE S offers substantial data transmission capacity, ideally suited for efficiently handling large volumes of data.  

 

CCSDS Standards, Various Modulation and Coding Options  

Y.FORCE S adheres to industry standards, adopting CCSDS-131.0-B-4 and CCSDS 132.0-B-1 for communication protocols. It offers a wide array of modulation options, including QPSK, OQPSK, 8PSK, 16APSK, 16QAM, 32APSK, 64-APSK, 4D-8PSK-TCM, and CCSDS-132.0-B-1 supports all MCSs.  Additionally, Y.FORCE S provides versatile coding options aligned with CCSDS standards, encompassing convolutional codes (1/2, 2/3, 3/4, 5/6, 7/8), RS codes (223,255), (239,255), turbo codes, and LDPC codes (7136/8160, AR4JA).  

 

High Baud Rate and RF Record Capability  

Y.FORCE S offers a maximum baud rate of 400Msps, ensuring rapid and efficient data transfer crucial for real-time or high-data-rate applications. It can also function as an RF recorder, capable of recording I/Q raw data at speeds of up to 500Msps for continuous periods of 600 seconds depending on customizable memory options, which can be expanded to meet specific requirements. This feature positions Y.FORCE S as a valuable tool for conducting in-depth analysis of satellite communication.
